Oh bother. When I finally got this blog rolling like Rick across the internet, what do I do? Quit blogging, of course. Stupid. But hey. Suns got spots an' all: I'm back.
Let's start off with a little music, shall we? Iceland keeps surprising me. This time, the group Feldberg just hits a sweet spot right so.
Cheers! And hey, alijfjkhmiitfhfesriytrmmialamgfmzsukhxtvgumog.
I get so sad, so angry and mad. Watching the neat 350 event Nomorelullabies.org I started looking around for the cataclystic. I didn't want to find. But I shu did.
Where do I find the will to sort out different kinds of paper thrash when the chinese "economy" spreads like Zerg?
And how can I care about not running my car another mile on fossil fuel when the Earth itself is bleeding fossil fuel straight outta atmosphere?
I'm [T] is taking some time off this rant to focus. Follow me on the Facebookgroup Heartbeat or through mailing and calling me for updates.
It's been fun. And I will be back.
Just read about New Zealand voting about legalizing child abuse. Save the children!
I wanted to write about else, but this serious shit is a post on it's own.
Lamborghini is a car, for those of you not far enough down the lane. It is a proper nice car, to be modest. Aw hell: It is one helluva ride. I say it though I have not had the opportunity to drive one. But some cars just look evil right from 0 mph. Of course, as every car brand with self-esteem, Lamborghini employs a number of test-drivers. And now, they've dedicated a car to the most test-driving test-driver of the all. Big up for the man: Valentino Balboni.
The small indie label Lefty in Östersund Sweden has only one artist in their list. I'd like to re-introduce Pulpa. Pulpa is two guys from Umeå and Östersund in Sweden playing headbanging electro with savvy sound engorging eardrums in a gorgeous sound. In an interview by Flukta.se the band considers their music to be "death electro". We can't but agree! Heartbeat went to their concert in Stockholm last year and today the album selftitled album turned all day. This band is definately on the "want-to-book" list. Recommend checking in on their myspace for some listening.
Adding our voice to the choir of hallelujas in the backwater of Karl Johan's self-titled album release by Spiral Trax. The music is electronic, technomagic and minimal. It's the shit! Now haul yer arse over to Psyshop and get one! Karl Johan is a friend from Arvika living it large behind his turntables and fruitbaskets and whole lots of people including us at Heartbeat has been looking forward to this release for a very long time.
Sometimes you'll run into the most horrible backalleys of internet. And sometimes you'll find you like it. Just yesterday I registered an account in a small community for sound technicians and ran into a thread about Really Strange Instruments. Enter the Daxophone, by Hans Reichel. Reichel is a wicked jazz musician and probably also a quite skilled Flash programmer. His website is far out.
For more wacko sounds, check out this two-album collection of psychadelix, with foreword of no less than Tom Waits.
From the vending site:
"Gravikords, Whirlies and Pyrophones:
Experimental Musical Instruments by Bart Hopkin - Foreword by Tom Waits
See below to purchase this book and CD or its companion volume
Orbitones, Spoonharps and Bellowphones"
It kinda tells its own story.
